Nigeria - Stallion Motors Introduces VW Tiguan To Nigeria's Auto Market

Stallion Motors Limited has officially launched and introduced the all-new Volkswagen Tiguan Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) into Nigeria's automobile market.

The launching ceremony which held at the Volkswagen Centre at Gbagada area in Lagos State, last Wednesday, marked the official debut of the 2010 version of Volkswagen Tiguan in Nigeria.

The four-way drive 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan is a four-door wagon with a six-speed tiptronic transmission, which seats five and is powered by a 200-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter engine.

Its available safety features include Antilock Braking System (ABS), front and rear disc brake, traction control, front-side airbags, rear-side airbags, and curtain-side airbags.

The all-new Tiguan can also boast of a navigation system with rearview camera, a sunroof, and a 30-gigabyte hard drive to store data and digital audio files, and it was built with a standard leather upholstery and offers a good fuel economy.

Other features for comfort and conveniency in the all-new Tiguan include a power steering, power windows, power mirrors, remote central lock, on board computer, climatronic air conditioning system, cruise control, fog lights front and rear arm rest and radio, compact disc player, MP3 and eight loud speakers.

While unveiling the all-new Volkswagen Tiguan, the Marketing Manager, Stallion Group, Mr. Anurag Shah, said the introduction of the SUV into Nigeria's automobile market was another landmark recorded by his company since it started business in the country.

He said apart from the Tiguan launch, another three Volkswagen models would soon be launched and introduced to Nigeria's automobile market before the end of the year.

According to him, Tiguan was built for freedom-loving people between 35 and 45 years, who want to cut their own path.

"With a SUV, you will be looking forward to the daily adventures in the urban jungle, while it also offers an elegant and sporty SUV design and a fascinating product combined with a high level or versatility and flexibility." Shah made it known that the Tiguan was the first of its kind in the SUV series to be a four-way drive built with a turbor engine, saying "Tiguan is a straight forward, honest independent and self-confident car."
